Up to 14,200

Jacob was able to rejoin the group after bringing Russ and John down to basecamp, and the remaining 5 climbers all moved to the 14,200ft camp yesterday. They are taking a rest day today, and still a bit shaken by the events of last Thursday. They'll spend at least 4 nights at this camp, resting and carrying loads up to prepare for the move to high camp. They appreciate all of the positive support they are receiving from all of us who can't be there with them right now.

    We are very shocked and saddened to hear the news about Bill. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this time.

    I am a close friend/colleague of Jennet, Bill's daughter. We performed a recital together in South Bend, Indiana only weeks ago. Bill was there with Deven, and I was able to capture a few moments on video.

    Bill told me about his upcoming climb, and his dream of conquering the highest peak on each continent. He was an accomplished athlete and inspiration to many.

    I echo everyone's thoughts. Lots of love to Bills family and friends. I am still finding it hard to digest. I wish you all the power, strength and determination to finish what you started. It'll be emotional at the top, that's for sure.
